1901 City Directory. Hoisting engineer, Charles E. Anderson was born in Sweden in 1858 and emigrated in 1870.
Charles Anderson ran for Vice President of the St. Paul Stone Cutters Local in December of 1899. This may be the same stone cutter as Charles G. Anderson (next individual entry) who lived at 98 Front in 1898. Many stone cutters lived at the Sherburne address.

1904 City Directory Edward Anderson was born in Sweden in 1866 and came to Minnesota in 1888. In 1904, when Edward was working on the Capitol as a laborer, he was living at this boarding house with his wife, Gertrude, and their new baby. Olaf B. Hanson also lived here.

1903 City Directory. Carpenter George Anderson was born in Denmark in 1851 and emigrated in 1878. He and his wife, Mary, raised a family in St. Paul while he worked as a carpenter. Anderson lived a long life and was still living in St. Paul at the age of 85 in 1940.
