1902 City Directory. R. Anderson worked as a granite cutter on the Capitol in 1902.
Swan Anderson
Occupation:
1905 Payroll and City Directory. Swan Anderson (1847-1913) was a carpenter and member of Local 87. He was born in Sweden in 1847 and came to America in 1874. He joined the Carpenters Union on Sept. 24,1900.
William Anderson

1902 City Directory. William Anderson worked on the Capitol as a laborer.
Henry Anger
Occupation:
Henry J. Anger was born in Minnesota in 1880 of French-Canadian parents. He gave his occupation as stationery engineer in the 1900 Census but worked on the Capitol in 1901 as a fireman tending the steam powered machinery.
Luke Anthony

1902 City Directory. Lucas N. Anthony was born in Missouri in 1870. He gave his occupation as "stonecutter" in the 1900 Census.

1902 City Directory. Peter Arposia worked on the Capitol as a stonecutter in 1902.
Phelix Arthur
Occupation:
Felix Arthur boarded at this address along with stone cutters James King, William Hamilton and Peter Diamond. He died on May 4, 1898 when his leg was caught in a belt on one of the machines in the stone cutting shed. Arthur had come from Georgia along with the marble to work on the building and his body was sent to Nelson, Georgia for burial.
Asahel A. Ballard
Occupation:
Asahel A. Ballard was a carpenter and member of Local 87. He was born in Vermont in 1846 and although the St. Paul City Directory listed Butler Bros. as his employer in 1903, in June of that year Ballard died in a fall while working on a house in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood.
