He was born in Pennsylvania in 1872 and moved to Minnesota with his parents in 1874. He died in 1948 and is buried in Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul, according to Find a Grave.

Clerk book keeper John A. King was born in Minnesota of Irish parents in 1870. He worked for the Butler Bros. as a book keeper while living with his parents in St. Paul. By 1920 he had married and moved to San Francisco.
