William King

Occupation: 

William A. King was born in Ohio in 1858 of German parents. He moved with his family to Minnesota in 1880 and lived in Minneapolis when he worked on the Capitol as a "tuck pointer." He worked for many years as a bricklayer in Minneapolis and raised a large family there.

Andrew J. Knutson

Occupation: 

1905 Payroll, 1899-1905 St. Paul City Directory and Census. Andrew Knutson was born in Sweden in 1854 and emigrated in 1872. He worked on the Capitol as a laborer in 1899, is in the 1905 Payroll records, and got on as a janitor when the construction was completed. He was still a janitor there in 1920.

John Kuettel

John Kuettel was born in Switzerland in 1856 and emigrated in 1882. He worked for many years as a stone cutter in St. Paul raising his family here. John married Katherine Youngman. They had five children, Wilhelmina, John, Charles, Alfred and Rose.

Kuettel was active in the Union and served as a delegate to the St. Paul Trades and Labor Assembly in 1901. He eventually bought a farm in West St. Paul and moved there.
